Wood Floor Stains, Colors or Tints

 Wood Floors stains that a color, normally an earth tone color (latex or vegetable oil based) is applied to give a darker, richer hue. Sometimes color (see Painted Wood Floors) and tints are applied to a wood floor give a vibrant, contemporary look. Wood floors must be proper sanded for this application. This technique can be used on the entire floor or in patterns and various designs. These custom wood floors must always be coated with a protective compatible wood floor finish.
