EZTREAD manufactures and distributes domestic and exotic hardwood stair treads (steps) and risers in a variety of species, sizes and colors. They were the first to develop the staircase refacing concept and specialize in there EZTREAD Staircase Refacing System with more than 20 years of experience in the industry.

There inventory now includes over twelve (12) species of hardwoods available in traditional and EZTREAD design stair treads and risers in both unfinished and pre-finished to blend with your existing floor covering including, but not limited to, the following:

 

·          Specially designed solid wood treads and risers - not a thin veneer.

·          Designed to permanently cover an existing staircase - not hardwood floor pieced together to cover your staircase.

·          A lifetime solution to upgrading your staircase.

·          Just like hardwood floors, it can be sanded and refinished when normal wear occurs.

to the finished product.

SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR STAIRCASE REFACING

                       

 Standard Widths:

·      11-1/2” x 36” or

·      11-1/2” x 48”

 

Thickness:

·      Treads are 3/4” with a 1”  Nose.

·      Risers are 1/4” thick.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Why use a 1/4” Riser?

 

The 1/4” EZRISER was designed to allow the EZTREAD to slide back an additional 1/2” which will normally keep the nose housed within the stringer system.

 

Is EZTREAD Code Compliant?

 

EZTREAD is designed to be code compliant with the International Stair Code which allows 3/8” various from rise height to rise height.  The average dimension of the pad and carpet is 5/8” to 3/4” and since EZTREAD is 3/4”, there is little or minimum change to the existing rise which, in most cases, is code compliant.*

* Verify that EZTREAD meets local and/or regional codes before installation.

 

Can EZTREAD be self-installed?

 

Anyone with the correct tools and some mechanical ability should be able to install EZTREAD. 

 

How long will EZTREAD last?

 

EZTREAD is solid hardwood and will last a lifetime.  It can be resanded as normal wear occurs.
