History
Our company, known to many in the industry simply by our brand name WOODWISE, was founded in 1988 by John Goss, a third-generation hardwood flooring contractor. And what started with the simple idea of quality products made by professionals for professionals, has developed into a successful, well-respected force in the hardwood flooring industry. We continue to expand our line of wood fillers, cleaners, tools and accessories for the hardwood flooring professional, producing products we would be proud to use ourselves.

We have always understood that no successful company was ever built alone. And that business is not just about sales, but about the relationships we continue to build — with our employees, our customers, our vendors and the community. The measure of our success continues to be our customers' loyalty, the quality of our products, and our continuing efforts to meet the unique needs of the hardwood flooring industry.

Industry Involvement
Since the beginning, we have supported the industry by our membership in the NWFA. And founder John Goss has lent his professional and technical know-how to teaching in the NWFA and NOFMA schools since 1992. Design Hardwood Products has sponsored students for NWFA schools, and continues to donate time and materials to schools and seminars nationwide, and to offer time to the NWFA committees when needed.

Research & Development
Our ongoing commitment to research and development has helped both the industry and our company. Working closely with chemists and engineers, we continue to tackle the many challenges faced by the hardwood flooring professional. Striving to develop new products, and constantly searching for new and better ways to make the hardwood flooring professional's job easier, faster and with better results.
